Congratulations to the following students for being selected to the all-state band based on their auditions yesterday in Mobile:

 

Garrett Guerra – French Horn

Joey Beviacqua – Trumpet

Ian Chong – Tenor Saxophone (1st in theentire district)

Alex Linton – Clarinet (1st in the entire district)

Jesse Etheridge – Euphonium (1st in theentie district)

 

Our district covers Baldwin, Mobile, Clarke, Choctaw and Washington counties.  This is an amazing accomplishment for these students.  We are so proud of all of you!!!

 

On Friday, band members will be performing at our state conference in Montgomery.  Gulf Shores was one of three bands in the entire state to be selected based on a recording we submitted last year that was judged by a panel of judges. It was a “blind” audition, meaning the judges did not know what band they were listening to. This is an incredible honor and testament to how hard our band members work.
