Greetings!
Project Rebound is a non-profit organization designed to assist families who have been impacted by the 2010 oil spill. It's been over a year since we began our services in Baldwin and Mobile counties and we continue to work on Coastal Recovery. Our goal for the 2011/12 school year is to continue working with teachers to help address the emotional needs of students.
We realize our school systems are short staffed and underfunded. That's why we want you to consider us an extension of your existing counseling services. We offer individual and group counseling on a variety of topics including bullying, anger management, self-esteem and more.
The purpose of this email is for you to fill out a simple five minute survey below that will give us some insight into your classroom needs and let us know how we can help you. Our services are available 24/7 for teachers, students and their families.
Please take a look at the following information below and feel free to contact us at 800-639-7326 with any questions you may have.
Sincerely,
Paige Rucker

What Some Teachers Have to Say

"I'm a counselor at Hankins Middle School and have observed Project Rebound presentations on anger management, bullying and choices/consequences twice. Once was with 6th grade and once with 7th grade. I feel very positive about these presentations. The content was very good, it was presented well and the students were engaged. These presentations are having a positive effect on our students."
Mr. Locklin, Counselor Hankins Middle School
"We are very appreciative for Project Rebounds assistance. We have two counselors for 800 children. We are spread very thin. There isn't enough time for group sessions. Project Rebound worked with us twice a week for many months, working with about 24 kids per session. At the beginning of each school year issues are heavy and overwhelming. After Grand Bay counselors and Project Rebound staff worked with students we began to see positive results. The students, teachers and counselors enjoyed working with Project Rebound tremendously."
Chris Acosta, Counselor, Grand Bay Middle School
"Project Rebound gave an effective presentation to the student body last fall. The presentation addressed issues and stress factors experienced by students after the Gulf oil spill. This presentation was very well received by the student body. Bullying has been a major issue in recent months. Project Rebound has been a great assistance in helping our students deal with bullying, and their counselors explained to the students how someone feels when they are bullied. Students learned strategies to use when these situations arise. They learned what to do to make the situation better. One of the most important things students learned is that's it's okay to confide in a teacher or counselor. They learned the difference between telling and tattling. I am grateful for the continuing resources offered by Project Rebound and for their willingness to be of assistance anytime needed."
Counselor, Anna F. Booth Elementary
